The Proprietor Elaine Mather opened The Gallery Manchester's Art House on Portland Street in 1993. It is the largest private Fine Art Gallery outside London, where regular exhibitions are organized. The Gallery exhibits British Contemporary Art, specializing in the Northern School and the Scottish School. It represents artists from the Royal Society of Water-colourists and the Royal Society of Sculptors. The Gallery Manchester's Art House exhibits regularly in Art Fairs in UK and Ireland. In 2003 a sister Gallery will open in Rhosneigr, Anglesey. It aims to continue its promotion of the Gallery artists and work towards helping Welsh artists.
